I have never visited a place where, no matter where you go, there is a mountain to climb or get a ride up in a cable car that allows you to see the views of the city quite like Rio. It is an amazing place with Islands and high mountains with vantage points for as far as the eye can see. Pictures can not even do it justice but it is something you have to see for yourself.

I was lucky enough to travel and see the Sugar Loaf as well as walk up the mountains that powers over the bay of Itacoatiara. It has the best views of the bay as well as a view all the way to the other side of Rio where you can see Sugar Loaf Mountain, Copacabana Beach and even the city of Rio. The trip to Sugar Loaf is quite expensive but worth every cent. The trip across the bay on the ferry also allowed a water view of the city which was awesome to see. total price of the visit to the mountain was $R100 which is R500 for the day.
