While I was in Hawaii I got a call up from a friend Ryan “Ringa” Mckinnon saying that he had a spare ticket on a flight around the Island of Oahu. He needed me to join him so that we could fill seats.

This was my first time in a helicopter and I didn’t know what to think of feel. I was blown away by how much of a factor every element was when you where in the air. The flight lasted just over an hour heading from the North Shore through Waimea Valley to Pearl Harbour. From there we headed across the mountain range behind Waikiki and then through to the southern tip of the Island.

The Southernmost Tip of O’ahu

After we had circled around the Hanauma Bay we headed up the east side of the islands. Huge mountains dropped onto the seaside road and into the ocean. There were some of the most beautiful sights I have witnessed with multiple sights that just can’t be see without a helicopter. We past over the eastern army base before tracking in to witness the Sacred Falls.

After a few loops around the Sacred falls it was time we headed back up to our take off zone at turtle bay. It was unreal how beautiful the Island is when you are looking from the air and not at the normal “car level”. I am in awe of the sheer beauty that is on the Oahu island. Such an amazing time with a great company and talented pilot.

Here is how the day panned out… it was insane!!
